AllanKuchinsky - Dec.5.2005: In addition to a mailing to the user list, I think that we should identify a small set of specific users that we can contact directly to ask for feedback. Perhaps each core developer could have his/her own "user advisory board", comprised of a small set of users. Basic idea is that the developer could go to the "user advisory board", as well as to the core developers group, for guidance and feedback on design decisions. I had a friend who worked at Intuit, where they had such a setup for developers -- my friend found it very useful to have such an advisory council.
